Project Overview
For this project I collaborated with The Systems Lab, a leading Fintech company specializing in e-learning courses and workshops. The primary objective was to redesign the onboarding flow for their virtual training sessions.

Feedback from previous events highlighted challenges such as complications in the sign-up process, reduced completion and conversion rates, and difficulties in website navigation and newsletter subscription.
  • Designing an efficient registration process for workshops
  • Revamping the tiered subscription service to be more user-friendly
  • Conducting a comprehensive UX audit of the current website
  • Proposing actionable recommendations for site improvement based on research and usability testing

Ultimately, the aim was to increase conversion rates and user satisfaction, aligning with The Systems Lab's main business objectives of expanding its customer base and boosting revenue.

Project Details
My role: UX Design Consultant, Advisor

Scope: Redesign of onboarding flow, UX audit of existing website

Constraints: An accelerated timeline in order to launch site

Timeline: 8 weeks from planning through delivery

Software: Figma, Notion, JotForm, Podia, Google Drive, Zoom
Client Objectives
The client objectives for this project included:
  • Restructure the sign-up process to be intuitive and user-friendly
  • Optimize the website's UI/UX to enhance user experience and streamline navigation
  • Reduce friction in the registration and subscription processes to encourage more users to complete them
The planned changes will include:
  • A redesigned landing page highlighting key workshops and events
  • Simplification of the registration process for workshops and courses
  • Integration of a responsive design to ensure compatibility across all devices
  • Implementation of user feedback mechanisms to continuously improve the onboarding experience
Project Goals
An analysis of business and user goals as well as technical consideration reveals the common goals that are the highest priority for the design.
Detailed Objectives
Smooth Sign-Up Process: Seamless transition of students from VTI to TSL for direct communication. Automatic integration with MailChimp once users are on Podia.
Mandatory Disclaimer: Ensure the disclaimer is signed immediately upon sign-up. Implement automated follow-up if the disclaimer isn't signed, preventing further access.
Material and Video Access: Organize materials on the Community page, potentially in reverse chronological order. Consider creating a “course” in Podia for workshop attendees with additional resources.
Software Trial: Streamline the process for users to initiate a free software trial
Subscription Conversion: Develop strategies to convert users into paying subscribers and engage them in future offerings
